Wie setzt sich die Einteilung der Könnerstufen zusammen?

Grob gesagt orientiert sich die Einteilung unserer Schwierigkeitsgrade nach den Schwierigkeitsgraden der Pisten. Grün entspricht dabei einem totalen Anfänger, schwarz einem Experten. Hier geht's zur Einteilung.

What are the opening hours of the Ski School?

We are open daily:

Mountain Office: 9 am - 3.30 pm

Valley Office: 8 am - 12 pm & 2 pm - 5 pm

Where is the meeting point for ski courses?

The meeting point is always in front of the mountain office of the Ski School Office on Idalpe, 15 minutes prior to course start.

Please also calculate the time for possible idle periods of the cable cars!

When are the courses scheduled?

Here you'll find a short overview - detailed information on the individual courses are available on our website:

Group courses for adults: Sunday to Thursday from 11.15 am - 2.15 pm

Group courses for children: Sunday to Friday from 10.30 am - 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm - 3.30 pm

Group courses for teenagers: Sunday to Friday from 10.30 am - 12.30 pm and 1.30 pm - 3.30 pm

Private lesson 90 min: 9.30 am - 11 am or 1.30 pm - 3 pm
Private lesson 180 min: 9.30 am - 12.30 pm or 11.15 am - 2.15 pm
Private lesson 270 min: 9.30 am - 12 pm and 1 pm - 3 pm

Is the ski pass included in the ski course fee?

No. In addition to the ski course you have to purchase a ski pass.

Do beginners (new to skiing) need a ski pass?

Yes, because the practice area is located in the ski resort!

Which cable car do beginners have to use?

The best cable cars to use for beginners are the Silvretta or the Fimbabahn cable cars.

Can our children join the same group?

We cannot promise that your children will be in the same group. If your children are at the same performance level however, there is usually no problem in signing them up for the same group.

Is there a possibility to book lunch care for our children?

We offer the possibility for children to have lunch with the ski instructor. All the parents need to do is to purchase a meal voucher in the office of the Ski School Ischgl.

Is it possible to rent the equipment from the Ski School?

The Ski School does not have a rental shop. However, there are plenty of rental shops in the village.

Which languages do the instructors speak?

Our instructors are international. They come from Holland, Denmark, France, England and Russia. If you should have wishes regarding the course language, we will try to meet your demands.

Is it possible to postpone a course in case of bad weather?

No, if you have booked a course, there is no possibility to postpone or cancel the course in case of bad weather or other events. Lessons canceled due to prevailing weather conditions (force majeure) are not made up.

What are the cancellation fees for courses?

Cancellation policy:
0 % - Cancellation fee until 3 months before course start
10 % - Cancellation fee until 14 days before course start
35 % - Cancellation fee until 1 day before course start, 04.00 pm at the latest
100 % - After 04.00 pm the day before

The course card is non-transferable.
Skiing can lead to injuries. We are not responsible for any accidents.
In the case of incidents outside the Skischule Ischgl’s sphere of influence we cannot return your money
(e.g. illness, early departure, Lifts not running etc.)
All equipment is left unsupervised at owners risk.
The Skischule Ischgl reserves the right to change prices and schedules. 

Can the booking of a group course be changed in a private lesson booking?

In general yes, if there is an instructor available during the desired time. You will have to pay the difference between the group course fee and the private lesson.

Will the course time be extended if I am late for the course?

No. Our instructors have a tight time schedule, it is therefore not possible to make up for the time if you are late. We therefore ask you to come punctually so you can make the most of every minute.

Will I be refunded if I get injured during the course?

If you should get injured during the course, you will be refunded the remaining course costs if you present a medical certificate.

Will I be refunded if I get injured outside course times?

There is no right for refund if you get injured outside course times.

Will i be refunded if i get ill?

No. Fee reimbursement due illness is not possible.

Is there always an instructor available?

Yes, if you book in due time.

In case of short-notice bookings there might be some waiting times however, especially during peak season. In order to make sure there is an instructor available and to be able to respond to your wishes to the best, we recommend booking early.

What is the maximum number of participants in group courses?

The maximum group size is 12 - 14 people. We always try however, also in your interest, to organise groups with approx. 10 people.

Are there group courses offered at the weekend?

Our group courses for adults (different performance levels) take place from Sunday to Thursday. New this year is the group course for beginners (ski) from Thursday to Saturday.

The group courses for children take place from Sunday to Friday (there are no group courses; only private lessons are offered on Saturdays).

Our childminders are off and the Ski Kindergarten is closed on Saturdays.

How flexible are the private lessons of 4.5 hours organised?

For your private instructors it is only important that you take lessons totalling 4.5 hours. Start times, lunch breaks, etc. can be determined by yourself.

Can the private instructor pick me up from the hotel?

If you have booked a private course (at least 3 hours in the morning), your instructor can pick you up from the hotel on request.
